I'll reiterate that you obviously don't know what you're talking about, but I'd like to add now that you're also kind of an asshole so I'm done talking with you. This open source icon is named "google chrome canary" and is licensed under the open source Apache 2.0 license. and personally I think they have no desire to either) then yes, UBlock Origin on Chrome will be done, because as I said earlier, Easylist alone is much larger than that. If they do not find some way of not implementing this new 30,000 limitation (and since this has been planned since last January, I doubt it!. he was in fact right, and if it weren't for people making a big fucking deal explicitly about UBlock being broken by their change, then it would have been done. Which is how humans sometimes express being at the end of their rope with a situation, and in that particular case, the chrome team corrected the problem that would have left him unable to continue working on the project. a performance analysis or some in-depth metrics that show why webRequest API must be limited and why it should be a global rewrite of the API." We haven't even yet seen the evidence e.g. Chromium developers pushing this change that no one seems to need and doing so without exposing the research that justifies the change makes them and Google look arrogant and uncaring, while covering it all under the "security, privacy, and performance" cliche. " People are really worried and they have a good reason. " If this (quite limited) declarativeNetRequest API ends up being the only way content blockers can accomplish their duty, this essentially means that two content blockers I have maintained for years, uBlock Origin ("uBO") and uMatrix, can no longer exist." Months ago after this first came out I believe Firefox made a statement along the lines that they had "no plans to restrict ad blockers." However that's a far cry from saying "we will not restrict ad blockers." While Google has done some real shady shit and Mozilla and made some questionable moves, I would still go with the lesser evil of the two. Actually Chrome is the less worse for me so I'll still use it as main browser( i have installed firefox and edge dev too), but the moment my adblocker will not work I'll change it for sure, because that browser will become trash at my eyes as I said. Another browser I keep watching is Brave browser, they say that will ditch manifest v3 if it will broke adblockers extension so it's a good alternative for me, I just don't like brave interface and lacks of customization. I'm watching even new Edge chromium, but microsoft not stated what they will do about manifest v3, I'm testing the dev edge atm. If they fix it (issue opened since 4 years) I'll be back to FF even now. I used FF for years(almost 8) and switched to chrome due its poor power management. I'm actually just look around which browser will fit me better. It's a MUST have feature, otherwise that browser become trash in my eyes. Oh be sure I'll switch, surfing on internet without any adblocker is a suicide nowadays.
